A butterfly macro shot at Mount Olympus, Greece
it's realy nice
I DIDN'T FORGET ABOUT YOU! Right, so, I'm not the macro expert in these parts, so I can't speak to the technical elements of this shot, but BOY OH BOY do I like the lines of the grass. I think the focus is spot-on and the colors are quite arresting, with that pop of orange--complimentary colors, eh? SNEAKY. I think the only thing, and this would of course be in an ideal world, where you have all the time in the world and the magical power of a universal sunlight dimmer switch, rather than a world in which you have to scramble madly to get your focus before the butterfly flits off, I think it would have been neat to play with the lighting direction, or maybe the shot angle. The butterfly's shadow is a teensy bit distracting, and the direct light seems harsh. Still a lovely shot, though. Thank you for sharing, and I hope my mad mental flailing helps in some way.
Thank you! haha yes the problem with butterflies is that they usually fly before you can even focus! But now I have this photo in mind, a butterfly shot just before sunset... I'll try it when I have the opportunity!
